Carp Ridge Learning Centre

CRLC is a local charity that was incorporated in 2000 with the mission of providing programs that enhance the health and well-being of the folks in West Carleton in rural Ottawa, Canada.

Over the years we have undertaken many projects including:

  • Setting up the first Forest School in North America (under the keen vision of Marlene Power)
  • Monthly Healing Circles with speakers introducing experiential tools for body, mind and soul
  • Monthly Dinner Talks: local organic meals with speakers on topics related to health
  • Summer children’s camps on the Ridge, including one for children with ADHD
  • Community Garden at the Constance Bay Legion
  • And many more…

Currently (May 2021) we are collaborating with several local groups to provide online mindfulness programs for the community of Constance Bay and surrounds followed by a brainstorming picnic for how to move forward with increased wellness…

We are offering 3 six-week online programs which joyfully and creatively teach tools for all ages to better manage these challenging times.  The online courses include indoor/outdoor activities, movement, meditation, games, music, discussions, yoga and surprises…
