Mini Healing Retreat- Cold & Flu Prevention
Cold and Flu Prevention—A New Approach
We are told to have a healthy lifestyle, with adequate sleep, a good diet and regular exercise, and wash our hands often to ward off the unpleasant experiences of coming down with a cold, or even worse, the flu. If you’re really into health, you might add various supplements that boost the immune system, such as vitamins A, C, D; zinc, NAC and herbs like echinacea and oil of oregano.
All of this is very helpful, of course, but what about other factors which could markedly decrease our incidents of getting sick?
What if getting “sick” was actually a way our body resets itself?
How does contagion fit into the picture?
What about the flu shot?
How can we modify a healthy diet to be even more preventive?
What can we do when feeling the onset of a cold or the flu to stop it in its tracks—most of the time?
How does any of this apply to people who are more at risk, such as babies, the elderly and those with compromised immune systems?
If you are interested in exploring some other angles on staying healthy, especially in the winter months, consider coming to the mini-retreat on Preventing Colds and Flus on Saturday, February 21 from 9am to noon. We will include some inner work with meditation and yoga, just so you come prepared!
