Full-time position available: Micro-loan project manager

Full-time position available to run a local micro-loan project in the Carp area.

Qualifications: business/financial background, an understanding of local sustainability, love of people, research skills.  Preferably someone who lives in the area and already knows the population.

Salary: $36,000 annually plus commission

Overview: This micro-loan project will support the start-up and growth of local businesses that contribute to the health and sustainability of the Carp and area community.  Interest rates will be reasonable.  Assistance will be offered for creating business plans.  When there are difficult times, support will be given to restructure if necessary to keep the businesses alive.

An advisory board will be created and citizens will be invited to invest.  An innovative website will give a variety of ideas that have already been tested in other communities around the world.
