“Like” My Helmet ~ A contest from Ottawa Public Health

As part of rural Ottawa, we want to promote city-wide preventative health measures.  This contest about bike safety is linked with the Rural Healthy Living Coalition and also includes the participation of Gaetan Morin, our local Parks & Recreation rep for the city of Ottawa.

If you:

• Are between the ages of 13 and 17
• Live in Ottawa
• Bike, rollerblade, skateboard, or ice skate
• Wear a helmet
• Have access to a camera

Then you are invited to participate in this contest.

Simply take a picture anywhere in Ottawa while wearing a properly fitted helmet and upload it to our Facebook event page to be eligible to win a prize. If you aren’t sure how to properly fit your helmet, review these instructions: http://ottawa.ca/health_safety/living/injury

If your photo gets 20 “likes” you are eligible to enter the contest and your name will be added to a draw.

Four winners will be chosen.

Prizes to be won:

• 1 Cruiser Bike with helmet
• 1 Hybrid Bike with helmet
• Two $100 vouchers for Tommy and Lefebvre

How to Enter:

2. Respond as “attending” to this event
3. Upload a picture of yourself wearing a properly fitted helmet
4. Tag yourself in the photo
5. Tell your Facebook friends to check it out
