from Sebastien Armand & Daria Smolentseva
at AGAPÉ GARDENS (www.agapegardens.ca)
Agape Gardens & Homestead is a small, family run, socially innovative eco-enterprise situated in rural Perth, Ontario.
We are in Phase I of creating an agro-ecological (permaculture) system which will evolve into a sustainable food base, learning centre and a retreat.
Community Supported Education (CSE) is our commitment to you in delivering hands-on, practical workshops over the course of 6 months (May – October, 2013).
We invite you to take part in a transformational experience!
Click here to go to their website and find out more.
What to expect?
- A group of like-minded individuals studying together on the land once a month for the duration of a growing season guided by certified teachers in permaculture (Bill Mollison & Geoff Lawton) and agro-ecology (Sepp Holzer)
- opportunity for socializing and building lasting friendships
- a continuous & thorough practical education covering a wide range of subjects like water management, soil management, greenhouses, animal husbandry, aquaponics, building, legal, etc. (the list encompasses all aspects of creating a fully functional holistic permaculture environment on a rural piece of land)
Follow and observe land changes and plant growth throughout the season. Meet real-life challenges with real-life solutions!
The format of CSE is one full day workshop every month for 6 months May to October 2013 (most likely the last Saturday of every month). A hearty vegetarian (organic) lunch will be provided.
This experience will charge you with real-life solutions on implementing your dreams!
In return, we ask for your contribution to cover our time, our knowledge and support our project Agapé Gardens in the financial amount of $600 (individual drop-ins $180 per workshop if spaces are available). Registration is limited to 10 participants. All costs are non-refundable.
