Kids’ Summer Camp

Kids’ Summer Camp for the month of July.  After a highly successful pilot project last summer, we are offering summer camp Mondays to Fridays during July for children aged 6-12.  Activities include gathering wild plants for food and medicine; identifying wild plants and animals on the Carp Ridge, including several endangered species; cooking organic food together over a campfire; singing; making art out of nature; playing cooperative games; getting wet; preparing a presentation for the parents at the end of each week; starting and ending each day with a calming meditation and simply relaxing under the trees.  Register before May 31st with lori@ecowellness.com or 613-839-1198.  Potential counsellors are welcome to apply and high school students may earn community service hours by volunteering.  More information at www.carpridgelearningcentre.ca.
